The state of Missouri is known far and wide as the Show Me State. There is a lot to see and be shown here, that is for sure. The city of St. Louis is famed for the archway there that spans the Mississippi River. There is a lot to see and do right along the river in this state. The legend of Mark Twain occurred right along the banks of the Mississippi. Right across the river is Illinois.

The town of St. Louis is famous for other things like the King of Beers. Budweiser is a beer that is big here and is brewed right here. The city grew up as many others along the river due to the influx of people and goods from the barges that floated up and down stream. The largest cities in the state of Missouri are Kansas City, which is shared with Kansas City in the state of Kansas, Saint Louis and Springfield.

The eastern part of the state attracts people because they have the advantage here of industrialization which give good work possibilities. The farther out to the west that you go in the state, the more rural it becomes and the people there rely more on small businesses and agriculture or farming to generate income for the household.
